Pastor Larry E. Taylor

Pastor Taylor was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina where he attended local schools. He was drafted into the United States Army, where he remained for more than 20 years. He began military medical training at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and completed courses at the University of Maryland, University of Alaska at Anchorage and the University of North Carolina to receive his license and medical degree in nursing. Following his military retirement, he relocated to San Jose, California and secured another government job with the United States Postal Service. During this time, he visited Emmanuel Baptist Church and subsequently became an active member, worked on the Building Fund Committee and sang in several of the choirs including the Male Chorus and its outreach ministries.

After moving to the Austin area in 1999, Elder Taylor and his family became members of All Nations Christian Center COGIC where he served under the leadership of Superintendent W.N. Little for more than 10 years. His leadership at All Nations included Minister of Education and Associate Pastor. As a couple he and his wife facilitated All Nations Marriage Enrichment Ministry for more than 12 years and continued the ministry even after founding Salvation and Praise Tabernacle. Pastor Taylor was licensed and ordained by the late Bishop A. LaDell Thomas Sr. and graduated as Salutatorian of the Texas SE II Class of 2004. Following graduation, he became one of the instructors at the School of Ministry and taught Public Speaking, Stewardship, Hermeneutics and Homiletics courses for three plus years.

Elder Taylor is married to his wife of 25 years, Debora Anderson Taylor and between them they have 4 adult children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His favorite scripture is Psalm 133. To God be the glory!

Missionary Debora Taylor

 Elect Lady Debora Taylor

Elect Lady, Debora Taylor is the second of 5 children, wife to Pastor Larry E. Taylor for 26 years. She is a mother to 4 adult children (Brian, Steven, Renita, and Hassan); grandmother to 7, and a great grandmother. She was born and raised in New Jersey and was SENT on a spiritual journey to San Jose, California at the age of twenty-three. As a young adult, she gave her life to Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit just a few years later. While working dutifully in her California home church, she answered her call to Ministry in March of 1999. The bible says in I Samuel 15:22 “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…” and so each time God said “go” (New Jersey to California in 1975), Missionary Taylor responded in obedience and went, this time from California to Texas (November 1999) with the favor of God going with her and before her. The search for a church home in Austin resulted in a denominational shift that planted her family in All Nations Christian Center COGIC (December 1999) under the leadership of Supt. W.N. Little.

From Cali to Texas, Lady Taylor has been committed to being about our Heavenly Father’s business. She has served as a leader in the church in many capacities. She completed the School of Ministry in the Church of God in Christ and received her Evangelist Missionary license in 2004. Missionary Taylor was selected by Bishop S.E. Iglehart in the Texas Southwest Jurisdiction and appointed by State Supervisor, Mother Annie M. Cooper as District Missionary of the S.E. Iglehart District in 2014. She was elevated by God once again and received the appointment to 2nd Assistant Supervisor to State Supervisor, Mother Youlander Ford in November 2019. Elect Lady Taylor also wears many hats in her local church to include assisting her husband in the work of the ministry.  She is a graduate of the New Jersey Public School System, attended several community colleges in New Jersey, California, and Texas, and received an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree (BAAS) from Texas State University-San Marcos.

Through it all God has been faithful, and “All I can say is, Thank You Lord For All You’ve Done For Me!”
